Canon EOS R6 Mark III Mirrorless Camera Body (5GHz)

The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is a hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera designed for creators who need strong photo and video performance in one body. It uses a 32.5MP sensor, DIGIC X processing, fast autofocus, 7K recording, up to 40 fps shooting, and 8.5 stop stabilisation to deliver sharp results in varied shooting conditions. Dual card slots add flexibility for demanding workflows.

Imaging Performance

The 32.5MP full-frame sensor improves detail, cropping flexibility, and print clarity. DIGIC X processing supports clean high sensitivity performance, fast burst shooting, and consistent autofocus accuracy. Pre continuous shooting captures frames before the shutter is fully pressed, which helps when timing unpredictable action.

Shooting Assistance

• SCN modes help beginners achieve consistent results without post processing.
• Options include portrait, group photos, landscapes, sports, panning, food, close up and night scenes.
• Video tools include Smooth Skin Movie, Close Up Demos and HDR settings.

Video Capability

The camera records internal 7K up to 60p in Canon RAW Light and external 7K up to 30p in ProRes RAW. Oversampled 4K FINE delivers sharper footage for creators producing UHD or DCI 4K content. Open Gate 3:2 7K recording provides extra framing room for vertical and social media outputs.

• High speed recording up to 119.8p in DCI and UHD 4K.
• Up to 179.8p in Full HD for smoother slow motion.
• Audio supported for all formats except in S and F mode.
• Slow and Fast Motion mode available directly from the Mode dial.

Colour Control

Canon Log 2 provides extended dynamic range for grading flexibility. LUT support allows looks to be applied in camera. Fourteen colour filters add direct tonal adjustments for JPEG and MP4 creation. The Custom Picture menu provides quick access to Log profiles, filters and other image parameters.

Autofocus System

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provides fast and reliable focus for both stills and video. Subject detection recognises people, animals and vehicles and tracks movement accurately. Register People Priority allows the camera to prioritise specific individuals in crowded scenes.

• Up to ten registered people.
• Four new AF area options.
• Recallable AF presets for fast mode switching.
• Movie Servo AF uses algorithms from higher end Cinema EOS models.

Image Stabilisation

The upgraded IBIS provides up to 8.5 stops of stabilisation at the centre of the frame which improves handheld shooting and reduces motion when recording video. Movie Digital IS combines optical, sensor shift and digital correction for steadier movement shots.

Viewfinder and Screen

The 3.69m dot electronic viewfinder offers clear eye level monitoring with an OVF View Assist for a more natural look. The 3.0 inch vari angle touchscreen supports vlogging, low angle framing and front facing use. Exposure tools such as zebra, false colour and waveform assist video shooters.

Body and Storage

The magnesium alloy body is sealed for dust and moisture resistance. Dual card slots, one CFexpress Type B and one SD UHS II, support high speed capture and extended recording. The shutter assembly is rated for 500,000 cycles. The Multi Function Shoe supports advanced microphones, flashes and transmitters.

Power and Accessories

The camera is compatible with the LP E6P battery which provides up to 620 shots per charge. The optional BG R20 battery grip improves handling during vertical shooting and extends runtime.

Connectivity

The USB C 3.2 Gen 2 port supports charging, file transfer and webcam use at Full HD 30p. Additional ports include 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks and HDMI for external recorders. Wireless connectivity through Bluetooth and dual band Wi Fi enables remote control and file transfer. FTP support suits professional workflows and communication settings can be saved for frequently used networks.
